VASCULAR DISEASES AND HYPERTENSION
10th February 2022
Men with hypertension are almost twice as likely to have impaired penile blood flow and erectile dysfunction compared to men with normal blood pressure, thus increasing their risk of heart disease and death. High blood pressure damages artery walls, causing them to harden and narrow, and reducing blood flow to the penis.
Some types of blood pressure drugs can also cause erectile dysfunction, especially if high blood pressure at no time caused any symptoms before. It is also known that diuretics and beta-blockers can cause erection problems.
Hypertension causes all of your body’s organs and tissues to slow down and leads to additional strain to perform every day functions.
